Griffin is a London based design studio founded in 1994 by Jeff Griffin. Often collaborating with legendary textile developers like Utexbel, they take heavy inspiration from military and sportswear aesthetics and are known for their strange usage of specialized Miltec fabrics. Griffin would lasercut, razor-cut and overdye a version of the garment, then reinforce the damage, securing the destroyed garment onto a slightly smaller version of the same pattern. This technique is why his work looks ready to fall apart at the seams, yet has retained the same structural integrity over the course of the past 20+ years.
