Kosuke Tsumura was born in 1959 in Saitama, Japan. By 1983 he landed a job with Miyake Design Studio and had his hands in most of Issey Miyakeās large scale collections. After years of design experience, he then started his own project called āFinal Homeā in 1992. The idea of the Final Home project was more of a goal to provide an everyday home out of jackets. Tsumura said, āif I lose my home due to disaster, war, unemployment, etc., what kind of clothes can I propose as a fashion designerā. From there, he came up with the idea to make the jackets āa cloth which can be adapted according to needā.
