A rare fleece lined iteration of Kosuke’s multi pocket survival jacket, this time zips open up to become not only pockets, but to help the inner lining breathe hence it being called the “Temperature Change” jacket. The jacket comes in a futuristic looking plaid and features an interior shoulder strap, pleated chest and arms, packable hood and an elastic adjustable hem.
Kosuke Tsumura was born in 1959 in Saitama, Japan. By 1983 he landed a job with Miyake Design Studio and had his hands in most of Issey Miyake’s large scale collections. After years of design experience, he then started his own project called “Final Home” in 1992. The idea of the Final Home project was more of a goal to provide an everyday home out of jackets. Tsumura said, “if I lose my home due to disaster, war, unemployment, etc., what kind of clothes can I propose as a fashion designer”. From there, he came up with the idea to make the jackets “a cloth which can be adapted according to need”.
